How many of you have already started spring cleaning? I started mine on March 1 this year. I am still not done. The thing that I'm dreading most is cleaning my closet. I have so much stuff to pull out that I'm going to have to make a huge mess in my bedroom in order to get it cleaned. I'm going to stop putting it off and get it done this Saturday. One of the things that I enjoy the most about spring cleaning is redecorating. I love to move things around and change up colors. I redid my hall bathroom with a Clemson Tiger theme. I am a huge fan...lol. I went with a Japanese them in my bedroom and the adjoining bathroom. I had been wanting to do this for a while. I was finally able to get all the things that I needed as far as bedding, pictures, etc to achieve the look that I was going for. My kitchen is currently red and black. The walls are red and most of my appliances and electronics are black. I'm thinking about switching to stainless steel. I'm undecided on the living room.
Just something as simple as a few plants or a new rug can really give a room a makeover. We haven't done any in the past 2 years, but painting is also a good way to spruce up a room. I found an article in Better Homes and Gardens on ways to update your kitchen with paint. Being that my walls are red, I may be following some of the tips that I found in the near future. It is a great read and can be found at http://www.bhg.com/kitchen/remodeling/kitchen-projects/update-your-kitchen-with-paint/. I hope that these ideas can help make your house feel more like home.
